Donate a phone - save a life

Your old cell phone can help stop family violence. Donate your used wireless phone to support the Canadian Women's Foundation (CWF). Donated phones are refurbished, sold, or recycled with proceeds benefitting the CWF.

Wireless phones with batteries and charges can be dropped off at any of the Body Shop stores throughout August 31st, 2005.

The Bodyshop has participated in other events and organizations working to end violence against women. Bodyshop was one of numerous partners with Amnesty's two year campaign to end violence against women.

Help stop violence in the home.

The CWF has supported more than 600 projects in communities across Canada - projects to prevent violence against women and girls, build healthy relationships, give women and girls skills for economic independence and help abused women rebuild their lives.

Back in the Canadian Saddle

Temmer would this philosophy conference have anything to do with the metaphysics of quality or intellectual value? I finished Lila about four weeks ago, thanks again for the heads up!

Sharm you are awesome, Paris will love having you. Tell me all about it. Perhaps in Cape Croker.

I think word needs to be spread about this page again, oh and my page http://spaces.msn.com/members/mgjmarti

Livin' it up in Liverpool

Damn I talk a lot.

Way too go Sharm.
Here's to doing exciting things!

While searching for some material for my 496 essay (you didn't think I'd finished that did you!?) I got invited to a philosophy conference at the University of Liverpool. I'm gone from the 4th to the 8th of July, and like Sharm, I have one day to check out the city so I've been searching around for something. If anyone has suggestions let me know, otherwise I'll let you all know how it goes when I get back!

Stay cool...

ERS : off to a place called Paris

hi everyone,

just wanted to share some fabulous news! I got the best graduation present yesterday, right in time before we left for the bar :).

i was suppose to be taking a break from Amnesty stuff, but i got an opportunity that i couldn't resist. i am attending an International meeting, on behalf of Amnesty Canada English Speaking section on the fabulous topic of 'Activism'. So, I will be off to Paris for a few days at the end of the month. there will be about 60 people from all over the world. I will have one day to tour, so its going to be a challenge choosing where to go visit.

good luck to everyone, and enjoy your summer holidays!

sharm.

smash parkinglot put up some paradise

Whoa, my first ever blog posting. Would you all laugh if you knew I just heard of these last semester, yah laugh it up nerd-oids. Well as I was revewing the postings to date, I couldn't help but notice the smashing of the remainder of the waterloo town square in efforts towards putting a park in its place. I have a kickass view from my room in paper tree, and I'll tell you, I'm sure it's strategic the way they take down buildings, but from here it just looks like a metal arm shouving the remaining structure to the ground. Still very cool, in fact, I'm so drawn to it that I've got screen marks imprinted in my face. That's all I've got. More from you all.

Sweet deal

Hey all... Maren here
This is a sweet deal, Mike you rock, thanks.
Turns out I am in Calgary right now, hopefully I will remedy this situation soon and get back to Saskatchewan where the pickles and perogies are. I shall be in Vancouver by next week and will let you all know when I become a semi-stable human being. Yes Saskatchewan is the wrong way but you have to do what you have to do for pickles.

My Recommendation of the summer is that everyone visits Flin Flon Manitoba. WOW! I found the reason I am so strange, his name is Uncle Dale.

Cheers,
Maren
